With web application becoming the lifeline of business across the globe, business houses are seeking to expand their reach by providing robust and scalable web based solutions to their clients spread across geographies. As a result, the complexity of the application has increased many folds over past couple of years.
Web Design and Development is an art that requires a creative mind and a global taste with a lot of skills. The growth in complexity of web applications has brought in a renaissance of technology in this field. Different languages have emerged to build different portals , blogs , social websites, ecommerce websites etc. Gone are the times when a website used to be a business card of a company. Now a website plays the role of media on internet. Company can sell their product online , find clients, search raw materials n what not.
It all started in August 1991 when Tim Berners lee invented the WWW (world wide web ) and published a website. It was Html or the markup language which was used then and ruled the internet for the decade.Email Was also invented at that time which changed the way to communicate .Based on the same mark up language and use of different concepts of computer languages like OOPS (object Oriented Programming) of C++ ,C, Java new languages have surfaced like PHP, ASP,ASP.NET , VB.Net, Javascript, Ajax and many more. All these have brought a revolution in designing and development of websites.
With increasing complexity and wide reach of web application, Dynamic Website Development has assumed a very important role for organizations. However shorter development cycles and ever changing business dynamics do not permit time for Development and proper life cycle of such web portals. Hence clients are constantly looking to increase their Web coverage at the same time decreasing their overall Development cost. This attitude of client has brought in a change in working style of designers and developers. The methodology of web developers all over the world now is not Hard Work but Smart Work. Web Design Infos..
Web design is a process of conceptualization, planning, modeling, and execution of electronic media delivery via Internet in the form of Markup language suitable for interpretation by Web browser and display as Graphical user interface (GUI).
The intent of web design is to create a web site - a collection of electronic files that reside on a web server/servers and present content and interactive features/interfaces to the end user in form of Web pages once requested. Such elements as text, bit-mapped images (GIFs, JPEGs, PNGs), forms can be placed on the page using HTML/XHTML/XML tags. Displaying more complex media (vector graphics, animations, videos, sounds) requires plug-ins such as Flash, QuickTime, Java run-time environment, etc. Plug-ins are also embedded into web page by using HTML/XHTML tags.
Improvements in browsers' compliance with W3C standards prompted a widespread acceptance and usage of XHTML/XML in conjunction with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to position and manipulate web page elements and objects. Latest standards and proposals aim at leading to browsers' ability to deliver a wide variety of media and accessibility options to the client possibly without employing plug-ins. Typically web pages are classified as static or dynamic.
Static pages don’t change content and layout with every request unless a human (web master/programmer) manually updates the page.
Dynamic pages adapt their content and/or appearance depending on end-user’s input/interaction or changes in the computing environment (user, time, database modifications, etc.) Content can be changed on the client side (end-user's computer) by using client-side scripting languages (JavaScript, JScript, Actionscript, etc.) to alter DOM elements (DHTML). Dynamic content is often compiled on the server utilizing server-side scripting languages (Perl, PHP, ASP, JSP, ColdFusion, etc.). Both approaches are usually used in complex applications.

Freelancer - A person who sells services to employers without a long-term commitment to any of them. Freelance web design is selling web design services to private clients. Freelance Web Design does not mean that there are no contracts or written agreements, but it does mean a cheaper and more customized web site for you. What is Web Hosting?

It is the process of increasing the amount of visitors to a Web site by ranking high in the search results of a search engine. The higher a Web site ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that that site will be visited by a user. It is common practice for Internet users to not click through pages and pages of search results, so where a site ranks in a search is essential for directing more traffic toward the site.
SEO helps to ensure that a site is accessible to a search engine and improves the chances that the site will be found by the search engine.

Short for Extensible Hypertext Markup Language, a hybrid between HTML and XML specifically designed for Net device displays.When applied to Net devices, XHTML must go through a modularization process. This enables XHTML pages to be read by many different platforms. A device designer, using standard building blocks, will specify which elements are supported. Content creators will then target these building blocks--or modules. Because these modules conform to certain standards, XHTML's extensibility ensures that layout and presentation stay true-to-form over any platform. As a web design freelancer, most of my web sites that I code are validated in XHTML Transitional.
